Congresswoman Ocasio-Cortez Speaks About Green New Deal

New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is releasing more details about her plan to address climate change called the Green New Deal. The proposal calls for net-zero greenhouse gas emissions through a fair and just transition for all communities and workers, as well as job creation and infrastructure investment. Ocasio-Cortez says addressing climate change won't happen unless other problems of inequality across communities are addressed too. The Republican National Committee called the plan a socialist wish list and said it would kill at least one million jobs and disrupt global trade.
