15-Year-Old Driving ATV Shares Video Of Police Chase On Snapchat

A 15-year-old Texas boy was arrested after leading police on an hour-long chase while riding an ATV. The incident started on Thursday (November 8) morning when a Humble police officer noticed the teen riding on the street near Humble High School. It is illegal to drive an ATV on public roads and the officer attempted to pull him over.

Instead, the teen sped away leading the officer on a chase through the neighborhood. At one point during the pursuit, the teenager pulled out his cell phone and shared a video to Snapchat as he fled from the police. Eventually, the teenager managed to evade the officers as he drove through a bayou.

“He stayed on the roadway quite a bit. We did lose him at one point where he hit the bayou. We were searching the area, then another agency located the four-wheeler again and the pursuit picked back up with another agency until we got back involved in the pursuit," traffic sergeant Jack Burt said.

Harris County sheriff's deputies managed to track him down, and the chase continued onto the highway, where the wild chase was captured by traffic cameras. Police blocked off the roadway while they pursued the boy and tried to get him to pull over.

Nearly an hour after the chase first began, the teen finally surrendered and was taken into custody and charged with felony evading.

“He put himself in danger and a lot of other people in danger just to try to get him to pull over. I don’t recommend anyone running from the police, but especially on a four-wheeler,” Burt said.
