Controversial FBI agent Peter Strzok will be grilled in a House hearing today. Strzok has come under intense scrutiny for anti-Trump text messages that he exchanged with former FBI lawyer Lisa Page during the 2016 presidential campaign. The two were reportedly having an affair at the time. Republicans will also press Strzok about his role in the Hillary Clinton email investigation.
Meantime, Page ignored a congressional subpoena and did not show up for a closed-door interview yesterday. A statement from Page's attorney Amy Jeffress said Page has nothing to hide and has offered to testify voluntarily, later this month. Jeffress is seeking "access to relevant documents" so Page can provide "complete and accurate testimony" to Congress. She also accused House Republicans of trying to bully her client.
