(Boston, MA)  --  Mob boss James "Whitey" Bulger is guilty of more than ten murders and federal racketeering charges in his Boston-area trial.  Bulger was head of the infamous Winter Hill Gang in the 1970s and 80s.  The 83-year-old chose not to testify in his own defense last week, saying the trial was a sham.  He could spend the rest of his life behind bars on the racketeering charges alone.  He was originally charged in nearly 20 murders.

He will learn his sentence in a hearing on November 13th. The racketeering charges alone could carry a life sentence.
